Contract signed on construction of bridge across Ada Ciganlija - investment worth 118.6m EUR


The contract on
planning and construction of bridge on Ada Ciganlija, worth 118.6m EUR, was signed on Wednesday (April 9, 2008) in the premises of the Assembly of Belgrade.
The contract was
signed by representative of the Directorate for Building Land and
Construction of Belgrade, Boris Ranković, and representatives of the consortium made of Austrian company "PORR", Slovenian
company "SCT"
and German "DSD Bruckenbau GmbH", Hubert Vesthing, Bruno Magner and Ivan Zidar.
The consortium is obliged to build the bridge 929 meters long and 45 meters high on Ada Ciganlija within 40
months.
The bridge, as an integral part of the inner main ring, for which the detailed land-utilization plan was adopted in September 2007, will
have six traffic lanes, double rails for light railways and two cycling-pedestrian
tracks.
Preliminary project for construction of bridge and access junctions with all accompanying studies was elaborated in 2006, and the tender for selection of architect and contractor was realized in two phases in 2007. Total of eight companies from six countries participated in that tender.
In the following months, the contractor will carry out thorough geotechnical researches and survey of terrain, which will be followed by the elaboration of main project for construction of the bridge and preparation of works on the building site.
