Opening of noodle factory in Ruma in February 2017 – Nepal’s Cinnovation Group to use local raw materials in production

A noodle factory will start operating in Ruma in February 2017, as the first European investment of the Nepalese company Cinnovation Group, which operates under Chaudhary Group. The factory is being built in the Rumska Petlja Work Zone and will employ 409 workers in the first phase, and another 800 later on.

The completion of works on the construction of the factory is expected late next month, when the first employments should start as well.

– It’s a great honor that such a large conglomerate has decided to invest in our municipality first. It’s the greatest possible kind of praise and a confirmation of the preparedness of the local self-government to be a true partner to investors – says the president of the municipality of Ruma, Sladjan Mancic.

– The entire Europe will be supplied with our Wai Wai noodle brand from Ruma. They are well known throughout Asia and Africa at the moment, and with this ambitious project, they will soon become famous in Europe as well. After we had decided to come to the European market, we started choosing the destination very carefully – said the owner of the renowned Chaudhary Group, Binod Chaudhary, and added that “Serbia and Ruma have beaten many countries which were initially in the competition for the first investments”.

The Nepalese multibillionaire emphasized that the municipality of Ruma and the Government of Serbia had provided great support to the investments, which would act as a great stimulation to agriculturists from Srem, as local raw materials would be used in the production of noodles.

– Investing in Ruma will no doubt open wide the door to the European Market for us and it’s only a matter of time, measured in months, when Ruma will become well known in Europe for our Wai Wai noodles – Chaudhary said.
