(Aleksandar Vucic) The Government of Serbia held the third topical session with representatives of the World Bank on Saturday, December 17, 2016, and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic thanked the representatives of the international financial institution for the continued help provided to the Government of Serbia in achieving priority goals.

As reported by the Government of Serbia, the session was attended by the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Michael Davenport, and the World Bank’s country director for the Western Balkans, Ellen Goldstein.

The prime minister pointed out that it was the task of all the members of the government to make the maximum joint effort toward achieving the set goals as quickly as possible.

Goldstein praised the Government’s work and emphasized that a positive change made in the previous few years was obvious and that it was the most apparent in the economic sense, as well as in Serbia’s improved image in the world.

Davenport said that the EU would provide Serbia with all the help it needed on its road toward Europe.

Other guests at the session included World Bank consultants William Isaacs and Ray Shostak, with whom short-term goals and the dynamics of implementation for all four teams were agreed, the report adds.
