Municipality of Prokuplje asking for premises for future investors – Construction of 22 ha industrial zone announced

The Municipality of Prokuplje asked the Government of Serbia on Friday, November 18, to provide the land for the construction of an industrial zone, to be fully equipped and offered to investors, said Aleksandar Simonovic, president of the municipality, for Beta.

He specified that a proposal had been sent to the Government to transfer the ownership over 22 hectares of unused land next to the Hissar factory at the exit from Prokuplje, next to the Nis-Pristina route, to the municipality.

– We are asking to transfer the property of the Republic of Serbia to the Municipality, as it has already been agreed for the land to be fully equipped and offered to future investors with the aid of the Government – Simonovic said.

Simonovic explained that potential investors might raise factories in the industrial zone, which would aid the problem of a high unemployment rate in the municipality.
