Energotehnika Juzna Backa will soon open a new hall in Novi Sad, with an area of 1,600 square meters, where a high technology automatic control products factory will be located, as well as an educational center in which 350 workers will be trained annually for work in Germany.

Deputy manager of the company, Davor Krmpot, says that the trainees will have an opportunity to learn and practice, whereas the modern electrical equipment produced in the hall will be exported.

The investment worth EUR 1.4 million is the result of a successful three-and-a-half-year cooperation between the Novi Sad leader in energy in Serbia and the leading German company in electrical installations, R+S solutions, which will enable the trained work force from Serbia to continue their work in Germany.

Krmpot points out that the cooperation between Energotehnika and the German partner has resulted in the formation of the joint company RSE solutions GmbH in Fulda, where several hundred workers who have successfully completed the training in the educational center in Novi Sad work now.

In order to join the training program, candidates need to apply to the competition organized by Energotehnika Juzna Backa periodically and have at least a secondary education in electrical engineering, at least two years of work experience and no criminal records.

– The training lasts for four months. It is very demanding and consists of an intensive German language course, as well as theoretical and practical vocational education. After completing the training, the candidates are tested again, which is the final selection stage. Those candidates which pass the test successfully have the opportunity to be temporarily employed in our company in Germany – Krmpot says.

As he said, starting next year, the plan is to expand the training to other vocations, primarily the mechanical vocation – welders and locksmiths – as Germany needs these workers, and the Novi Sad company wishes to maintain the high standard of human resources from Serbia coming to work in their company in Germany.
