Halifax has refreshed its translation site www.halifax-translation.com and launched a facebook page www.facebook.com/HalifaxTranslationServicesBeograd.

In today's business world it is not enough to provide a good regular service - accessibility in the world of digital media is equally important. Potential clients and suppliers must be able to find you quickly and simply and get the information they need in two quick clicks. Statistics say that potential customers will hang around on your site for no more than a few seconds: if they don't see what they want in that time, they'll click back to their Google search and try the next one, and your chance of that job will be gone.

– At Halifax we have looked carefully at this aspect of business, from taking courses in digital sales, swapping experience with leading European companies about how they do things and about what customers expect, to engaging experts to develop web pages and SEO. The concept, design and content of our site directly reflect our underlying values, our way of working and the aims we strive after. They must harmonise clearly with the message we send to present and potential clients and suppliers – says Halifax Director Sonja Babić-Lythgoe.

Apart from an upgraded technical platform, design and easier search features, the new site provides information about their approach to work, the kind of services they offer, and deadlines and prices for the most common standard services.

The Halifax facebook page is a response to trends in virtual communication through social media, making an online community for existing and new clients, suppliers such as a large number of translators and their full-time staff. The idea is to communicate directly and simply to bring people closer to the translation profession and make it easier for them to find advice or obtain services.

– Our slogan 'Communicating with the World' is a message about the importance of communication through good translation. We hope that the use of improved digital media will allow us to get this message across even more successfully – says Sonja.
