Tenders for selection of consulting companies to prepare initial public offers for public companies' stocks

- Government of Serbia will announce tenders for selection of consulting companies that will prepare initial public offers for stocks of "Telekom Srbije", "Galenika", Airport "Nikola Tesla" and "Electric Power Company of Serbia" - Ministry of Economy and Regional Development announced yesterday (January 17, 2008).

According to the announcement, the decision about selection of the advisers was made at the yesterday's meeting of the Government, to the suggestion of the Ministry of Economy of Serbia. Selection of advisers for initial public offers is part of the procedure for realization of rights of citizens on free stocks, because citizens will be able to sell free stocks of public companies up to six months after realization of initial public offers.

International tenders for selection of consulting companies will be realized by the Privatization Agency. Government decided that each procedure requires forming of special five-member tender commission with one representative of the cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, representative of the Ministry authorized for the domain of the company.
