EUR 39.7 million for Serbia from IPA II funds – Agreements for the remaining 156.9 million to come soon



The minister without portfolio at the Government of the Republic of Serbia responsible for European integration, Jadranka Joksimovic, stated that another two financial agreements would be signed in the next period, worth EUR 80 million and EUR 76.9 million.
The agreement was signed by Jadranka Joksimovic, who is also the national IPA coordinator, and the director at the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiation, Catherine Wendt.
The assets are meant for the realization of projects in the areas of the reformation of the legislature and internal affairs, as well as for the projects which contribute to the process of negotiations and adaptation to the EU regulations.
Among other things, the program will finance the enhancement of the capacities for fighting organized crime, money laundry, and terrorism, the strengthening of the internal control within the Ministry of Internal Affairs in fighting corruption, the establishment of an efficient emergency system, the execution of the Action Plan for chapter 23 and the improvement of the efficiency of the prosecutor's office.
