Mecafor to start producing in Kikinda from October – Planned investments of EUR 4 million

In Kikinda's industrial zone, the construction of that company's factory is well on its way. The factory will focus, above all, on producing parts for the automotive industry. The production is expected to start at the beginning of October.
Of the total of EUR 4 million set aside by the management of Mecafor for investments in the Kikinda factory, nearly RSD 46 million has been set aside for the purchase of land, that is, a parcel within the industrial zone. This shows the investor's intention to expand the production once the conditions allow it.
- We have chosen this particular parcel due to the possibility of expansion at a certain point, when the conditions for it are met. We are certainly aware of the general market conditions, so we are very satisfied with what can be expected in the future – emphasized Nicolas Grosdidier, chairman of the Managing Board of the company Mecafor, during his visit to Kikinda.
- We reasoned that large companies should give something back to the city, which is how we came to the agreement that Mecafor should buy this land. That way, our equipping of the entire industrial zone has been practically “covered” with the sale of that piece of land – says Pavlov Markov, mayor of Kikinda.
In the first year of the factory's operation, 50 workers should be employed, as it was stated, without the state's subsidies. The deadline for the completion of the construction work is September, and the production should start in October.
