The BMW Group has, on the occasion of marking its 100th anniversary, presented the MINI concept of the car of the future in order to express its view of urban mobility, which lies ahead. As BMW says, MINI is a perfect car in the premium compact class meant for driving in the city.
The digitalization and interconnectedness are changing our daily lives to a great extent, and the changes are swift and immediately noticeable in urban areas. MINI Vision next 100 is the MINI response to several key questions regarding urban mobility in the following years: Will there be room in the cities of the future for cars which function on an emotional level? What will happen to the principle of the smart use of space, which is the very heart of MINI? How can MINI adjust to the increasingly digitalized and connected world?
The philosophy behind the MINI Vision Next 100 concept includes the careful use of our planet's resources to the end of providing personal mobility. The maxim “each Mini is my MINI” describes a unique attitude when it comes to sharing cars. In the future, fans of the brand will be able to order a MINI tailored to their personal needs, wherever they are, at any time of the day. The future MINI, available 24/7, will be able to pick up its driver at the desired location in a fully automatized manner and adjust to the individual desires, interests and preferences. An entirely integrated digital intelligence is at the heart of this concept.
