Expansion of Batrovci by July 15 – Border crossing to get new customs terminal, parking spaces and an additional truck lane

The border crossing Batrovci will get an additional six transportation lanes, which will bring the number of lanes up to 18. Mihajlovic said, after having made a tour of the construction site, that the goal was to increase the capacity of Batrovci, which is situated on Corridor 10 and is the busiest border crossing in Serbia.
- I'll make sure to come here on June 15, after the customs terminal has been built, and on July 15, the additional lane will have been finished. When traveling from Serbia to Croatia, parked trucks can be seen and it's almost like the vehicles are moving down only one lane, which is unsafe, so there's always a risk of someone getting hurt while exiting a truck – said Mihajlovic while taking a tour of the construction site.
When asked whether she would be coming in the capacity of the Minister of Transportation, Mihajlovic said that it would become known in the next ten days where the Government stood and what the study would look like.
The modernization, reconstruction and expansion of Batrovci started on May 9, after more than 13 years.
The first thing to be built is a customs terminal with a new set of scales, for improved control of goods and increased safety, followed by the construction of an additional, 1.7 km long lane from Serbia to Croatia, all of which should be finished by July 15.
