Ministerial meeting of European Energy Community on December 18 in Belgrade


- The third Ministerial meeting of European Energy Community will be held tomorrow (December 18, 2007) in Belgrade and it will gather more than 90 representatives from about 20 countries – Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia announced.
According to the Ministry’s announcement, participants in the meeting will discuss the issue of broadening of regional cooperation in energy sector and application of Contract on founding of Energy community, secure supplying and use of renewable energy sources.
About 90 representatives of European Commission and European Council, Albania,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Macedonia, Portugal,
Germany, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Slovenia, Slovakia,
Ukraine, Turkey, Spain, France and UNMIK confirmed their presence at the
meeting.
Some of the participants are European Commissar for Energy, Andris Piebalgs, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy, Aleksandar Popović, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH, Slobodan Puhalac, Minister of Economic Development of Montenegro, Branimir Gvozdenović, as well as Minister of Industry and Infrastructure of Moldova, Vladimir Antosil.
The third ministerial meeting of the energy community is organized while Serbia is presiding the Energy Community of Southeast Europe.
