Solar-driven plane ends travel around the world


A plane driven by solar energy which turns it into electric finished the week of traveling around the world and landed in California, in USA, Reuters reports.
The last stage of the journey through the a part of the Pacific Ocean, started in Hawaii, lasted for three days. After 62 hours of continuous management, pilot Bertrand Piccard on Sunday morning landed with "Solar Impulse 2" plane in Silicon Valley, near Mantin View, south of San Francisco.
This stage of journey around the world, started in March 2015 from Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates and continued through Oman, Myanmar, China, Japan, Hawaii.
The objective of flying the world is popularization of "clean energy" and innovative spirit. The most dangerous part of the trip was across the Pacific Ocean where there are not so much space where you can land if something goes wrong.
