Electricity of transfer free of taxes starting January 1st 2008


- Companies for transfer of electricity from 34 European countries, one of which is Serbia, have signed the first
contract that prevents introduction of taxes on transfer of electricity - the
Agency for Energy (AERS) announced yesterday (December 3, 2007).
According to the announcement, application of the contract on compensation for transfer of electric energy, which is used by 39 companies to regulate fees for use of electric networks between themselves, will start on January 1st, 2008.
Application of the agreement will make trade in electricity easier and it represents one of the key conditions for uniting power supply markets of Europe.
