MIHAJLOVIC: Reconstruction of 167 kilometers of railroad in Serbia in 2016

Serbian Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said today that 167 kilometers of railroad in Serbia would be reconstructed in 2016 using the proceeds of the Russian loan, adding that implementation of the agreement between Serbia and Russia on that loan was the most important task for the new Government as well.

She spoke today with the director of the Russian railway company RZD International, Sergey Pavlov, about the possibility of accelerating and improving the interstate agreement on the loan for the construction of rail infrastructure and the delivery of diesel trains to Serbia.

The five-year agreement on the Russian loan was ratified by the Parliament of Serbia on 15 March 2013, and its total value is USD 940 million, including Serbia's share of 15%.
