Silde from Kalis to Beton hall - June to see construction start of overpass which will connect Kalemegdan and Sava port

Construction of a winding pedestrian overpass which will connect Kalemegdan and the Sava will begin to in June 2016, and its construction will cost about one million euros. The Directorate of construction land will announce a tender for a contractor in May, and according to plan, completion is expected by the end of this year

- Three days ago, the City of Belgrade signed a contract with CIP, which donated the project of pedestrian overpass. Adoption of general regulation plan generated conditions that in the next month we obtain also location conditions so that tender for contractors would be released - Milutin Folic, the main city architect says for Novosti.

An overpass which resembles a slide in aqua park comprises three parts - a bridge which connects Kalemegdan and parking at Beton hala, winding ramps for access to the Sava promenade and a sculpture with a lift.

The project of a British sculptor Richard Deacon and Mrdjan Bajic enriched the CIP team of engineers and architect by Branislav Mitrovic. Compared to the original idea, connection of the overpass and parking at "Beton Hall” is different.
