Turkey interested in Morava Airport and highway construction in Serbia


Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic spoke today with Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay about the opportunities for cooperation in the field of road infrastructure and air traffic.
Turkish companies have expressed interest in cooperation in the development of Morava Airport, as well as in several road infrastructure projects, including Pojate-Preljina highway stretch and the Novi Sad-Ruma high-speed route, the Office of Zorana Mihajlovic announced in a release.
Turkish experts are expected to come to Serbia in the following period to tour Morava Airport near Kraljevo and catch up with the details of the plans for development of that facility as well as the road infrastructure projects that are interesting to Turkish companies.
The meeting was also an occasion to discuss the issues related to charter flights between the two countries, which are important for providing quality service to tourists coming to Serbia and Turkey, the release reads.
