Announcement of tender for Automobile Factory "Zastava" on December 15 - contracts with "General Motors" and "Fiat" included in tender documentation

Tender for sale of Automobile factory "Zastava" will be announced on December 15. General manager of "Zastava vozila" group, Zoran Radojević, said that people from "Zastavi" work day and night to complete tender documentation.

- Preparation of tender documentation for privatization of Automobile factory is joint project of the people from Privatization Agency, experts from consulting company "Citadel" and "Zastava's" expert service. It is likely that that job will be finished by the beginning of December, when starting price for sale of Automobile factory will also be known. I wouldn't like to give some forecasts, but I expect that many foreign companies will be interested. It should also be remembered that "Zastava" has five-year contracts on business-technical cooperation with "General Motors" and "Fiat". These contracts will also be included in tender documentation for sale of Automobile factory - Radojević points out.

In addition to "General Motors" and "Fiat", which are indirectly mentioned by the general manager of "Zastava vozila" Group as potential buyers of Automobile factory, Austrian company "Steyr Puch" is also interested in privatization of that "Zastava's" company.

Managers of that Austrian company, which, among the rest, deals with assembling of automobiles of famous world makes, visited Automobile factory at the end of October and spoke to the authorized in the Ministry of Economy about its privatization.
