- I want to make tailored suits and not ordinary garments - Boris Podrecca (76), a world-renowned architect who is hired to beautify the look of neighborhoods Kosancicev Venac and Toplicin Venac, Student Square, Vasina Street, and the square around the Monument to Duke Vuk, reveals to the daily Novosti.

This famous architect is hired by the City of Belgrade to work with his team on preliminary designs for the expansion of pedestrian zone in the city core over the next year.

Born in Belgrade, Mr. Podrecca says he is honored to work in the Serbian capital city. However, he also criticizes previous development of the capital.

- Large bridges and sports arenas are under construction, while the citizens of Belgrade walk on feces. Pavements are destroyed, and nobody notices that. I watched a woman carrying shopping bags fall at Kalenic market having tripped into a hole - says the expert who has been beautifying major city squares all around the world.
