KBC bank to invest another 50m EUR in A banka - Belgrade-based bank to change name into KBC bank Serbia


- Belgian KBC bank plans to invest about 50m EUR in A banka from Belgrade - said the representative of that bank, Stiv Verbist. At the meeting of Belgian and Serbian businessmen in Belgrade, he said that, in that way, total investments in A banka would reach amount of 150m EUR, along with 100m EUR invested in purchase of that bank in June 2007.
Verbist also said that A banka would change its name into KBC bank Serbia.
According to his words, Belgian and Serbian companies could realize the most successful collaboration in field of logistics, trade in frozen fruit and real estate development.
Verbist estimated that one of the advantages of Serbia for attraction of foreign investors was the Agreement on free trade with Russia and he added that A banka already had few clients who used the benefits of that contract.
