Overview

Nova Crnja Municipality is located in the southeastern part of Banat region, near the state border with Romania, covering the area of 273 km². In addition to Nova Crnja, the municipality comprises the following settlements: Srpska Crnja, Radojevo, Toba, Velike Livade, Vojvoda Stepa, and Hetin. Nova Crnja is 138 km away from Belgrade Airport and 92 km from Novi Sad.

Population

This multiethnic municipality has a population of 12,705. Out of total 8,000 persons of working age 3,000 are unemployed.

Economy

Agriculture is the predominant economic activity. For many years, the economic development of the municipality has been based on two main industries: sugar and oil refineries. There is also textile and construction material industry.

Infrastructure

The municipality is located along the border with Romania, and a network of main and local roads intersects its territory. The settlement of Nova Crnja is 90 km away from the international E 75 motorway. The Stari Begej River and the Begej canal run through the municipal territory.

Tourism

In the past, the municipality was renown for hunting and sports fishing, but also for its cultural events and tourism. There are well-known hunting grounds (Koštanac) occupying both farming land and the forestland. There are also several thermal springs ideal for spa tourism, fish breeding, greenhouses, cattle and poultry farm raising, but also convenient for mini power plants.

Site description

The Industrial zone is located 300 m away from the centre of Srpska Crnja, 150 m off the M -7 main road and 1 km away from the state border with Romania.

Infrastructure

The site has access to power, water and gas supply systems.

Additional information

Land lease is possible and the lease period is not limited. The shortest possible period necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals for construction on the site is 3 days. The relevant planning and regulatory documentation already exists.

LOCATION 2

Site: Premises for an industrial plant, Srpska Crnja

Total facility area: 340 m2

Type of ownership: Private property

Intended use: Not strictly defined

Site description

The site is located 300 m away from the centre of Srpska Crnja, 10 m off the M-7 main road and 1 km away from the state border with Romania. The site is developed, with the possibility of expanding the existing building to 1,500 m2. Further extension is possible as well (up to 20,000 m2).

Infrastructure

The building has access to power, water and gas supply systems, as well as to waste water drainage system. The access roads have already been built.

Additional information

The shortest possible period necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals for construction on the site is 3 days.
