National Milk Control Laboratory opens in 2016

The National Reference Milk Control Laboratory, which will be situated in the administrative building of an old farm in Sobovica, should be put into operation in few months, when the accreditation process is expected to be finished. This will be preceded by the adaptation of facility in Sobovica and the installation of laboratory equipment for which the European Union has provided EUR 1.5 million.
As people at the Sumadija Administrative District explain, that is an ideal location which meets all necessary criteria.
At first, the future laboratory will be controlling milk only, but its equipment will be upgraded and expanded with time. Phytosanitary equipment should be purchased the next, probably later this year.
The National Reference Milk Control Laboratory is a project of exceptional importance for the City of Kragujevac, the officials of the Sumadija Administrative District underline. They say it is important to have the control of agricultural products finally done by an independent institution whose results will be 100% reliable.
