Russians interested in Jagodina-based Industrija kablova

- The plant has human resources potential and important technical and technological resources and therefore in its halls in the town, regardless of ownership structure, legal status and official plant name, cables will be produced in the future – Vucurovic said.
Industrija kablova in Jagodina is 99% state-owned and as one of 17 companies of special strategic importance for Serbia, must go private until May 31, 2016 so that in the next few month its status must be solved.
- There are two options – the first one is privatization based of the model fo property sale provided that a buyer continues production of cables and hires existing employees. For this option, there is a potential interest of investors from Russia but the tender to come will show their real intentions– Vucurovic said and explained that, if the sale fails, alternative will most likely be pre-pack plan.
These are buyers whose trust we have had for decades and new buyers which we get through conquering new, complex products, Vucucrovic specified and mentioned that it enabled Industrija kablova export of more than ten million dollars per year.
