Germanwings goes to the history - Eurowings takes its place

German flag carrier Germanwings is going to the history with the start of the winter timetable. Its place will be taken by a low-cost airline - Eurowings, the media in Germany announced Monday, one day after the winter timetable came into effect.
The media point out that while the new company faces new challenges, passengers are offered cheap flights to America, India and Africa.
As announced, passengers will be able to fly from the airport in Cologne/Bonn to Dubai and Bangkok for 99 and 199 euro, respectively.
According to the business plan, Eurowings will be operating flights from airports in Cologne and Bonn to Bangkok, Dubai and Caribic starting November and flights to Mauritius as of May 2016.
The name 'Germanwings' will disappear from all websites and written documents in January 2016, while passengers will be able to book their tickets at www.germanwings.com/Eurowings by mid-January 2016, and after that at www.eurowings.com.
