Serbia invited to participate in Agri project - Gas pipeline to Romania possible


Serbia got offer from Romania to participate in the Agri project which transport gas from Azerbaijan to Europe, the minister of mining and energy, Aleksandar Antic said and announced that Serbia and Romania will consider construction of gas interconnection between the two countries.
- "Agri" project is another interesting ones where Serbia can participate and which can lead to certain gas quantity at the Balkans – Antic said to journalists after the meeting with Romanian colleague, Andrej Dominik Gere.
He said the call for Serbia in the project is very important having in mind plans for construction of gas interconnection between Serbia and Romania.
Through transport system called "Agri", on annual basis, from Azerbaijan to Europe, five to ten billions of cubic of gas should be delivered to Georgia , where it will be turned into liquid gas and then, via ships, it would be delivered through gas pipelines to European countries, it was said after the meeting.
