Factory for producing memory foam EverRest opened in Ruma - Jobs for 300 people

A memory foam production facility of the Chinese-Danish company EverRest production was opened Sunday (28 June 2015) in Ruma in the presence of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic, and ambassadors of China and Denmark.
This 28,880 square meter factory, an investment valued at EUR 15 million, will employ 300 workers in the first phase.
The four-stage project calls for investing EUR 50 million in the expansion of production facility and hiring 1,200 workers.
President of China's Healthcare, Zangen Ni, the owner of Denmark's EverRest, Kristian Frismodt, and the director of Healtcare Europe, Aleksandar Andersen Podravac, pointed out that Serbia had been chosen for the regional production center due to its strategic position, and the new production facility in Ruma will be supplying memory foam to Europe, Russia, Near East and North America.
Production of memory foam for pillows and mattresses is safe to environment, and the factory will be buying raw materials in the domestic market, company representatives announced.
EverRest production was established in 2012 in Novi Sad, as a result of joint investment of Everrest from Denmark and Healthcare Co.Ltd from China, a global leader in memory foam production, which makes this investment extremely significant for the economy of Serbia.
The factory is situated in the industrial zone Rumska Petlja.
