Marija Ruseva - newly-appointed president of the Executive Board at Societe Generale bank in Serbia


So far, Marija Ruseva has been at the position of the deputy of president of the Executive Board at Societe Generale Ekspresbank, a branch office of Societe Generale group in Bulgaria. She started her career in banking sector after her studies in international economic relations at the University of world and national economy in Sofia and graduated at the University in Leipzig. . She was performing different tasks in a few banks and in 2005, she joined the team of Societe Generale group. During her decade of work in Societe Generale bank Ekspresbank, she performed at a number of managerial positions in department for operations with business and financial market. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Supervisory Board at the branch office of Societe Generale group in Macedonia, Ohridska banka.
Over the three years when Frederik Kuen was managing Societe Generale Serbia, the bank has continued developing, increasing balance quality, confirming thus its position of one of five most important banks at the market. At the same time, the bank continued with process optimization and products and services quality increase through implementation of modern technologies in order to adapt to the needs of its clients and respond to new modern market demands
Societe Generale Serbia, which from the start of its operations has been developing solely based on organic growth, in 2013 it implemented its first acquisition through takeover of portfolio of Belgium KBC bank. Increase of clients’ database of 7,5% during 2014 as well is another proof of constant increase of trust of citizens and economy at Societe Generale bank in Serbia. Last year, the bank signed a per-contract on purchase of a part of facility under construction with "Imel grupa" for its second administrative building whose completion and moving in is expected in the first half of 2016 which once again confirmed long-term determination of the bank to devlop its business in Serbia.
