DHL uses ecological vehicle "Segway" to deliver packages in city center

Company "DHL International" Belgrade has represented ecological delivery vehicle - "Segway", which will be used for delivery of packages in the very center of the city.

Sales Manager in DHL, Nemanja Veselinović, pointed out that the company, by using "Segway", contributed to healthier environment of Belgrade and gave example to the other companies to follow them.

- The company invests in new technological solutions by increasing number of vehicles that use alternative fuels – he added.

-"Segway", which costs 7,000 EUR, is silent two-wheel vehicle. It works on batteries and does not pollute environment with the harmful exhaust gases – the representative of company "Farma plus", Nemanja Stojilović, explained.

With the single charging, which lasts for 11-12 hours, Segway can pass about 50 km at maximal speed of 23.7 km per hour. Maximal weight this ecological vehicle can hold is 118 kg.
