For carefree shopping - Each product must have new declaration as of April 1st

Petar Bogosavljevic from the Consumer Movement says to the national broadcasting corporation RTS that as of April 1st, when the new regulations governing product declarations are taking effect, new declarations should contain the most important information for consumers.
- New declarations must contain the product name, manufacturer, country of origin, country of import, ingredients, additives, technological production process, as well as warnings for certain categories of consumers - Bogosavljevic explains.
He adds that this information must be emphasized using special fonts and colors and that it has to be in a prominent place on the declaration.
- Also, there needs to be special instructions for consumers, price, expiry date - Petar Bogosavljevic points out.
He explains that sanctions for those manufacturers who fail to abide by the new rules will be strict.
- Penalties are big and range from 2-3 thousand to 200-300 thousand dinars - Bogosavljevic underlines.
