Competition Protection Commission approved takeover of Danube foods group

The Commission for competition protection approved concentration which emerges through merge of indirect sole control of the Dutch company Adriatic BidCo over Danube foods group and Clates Holding, which results in direct, sole control over their liable companies, Bambi" Pozarevac, Imlek, Mlekara Subotica and Knjaz Milos, it was published at the website of the Commission.

The buyer is under the final control of investment fund, Mid Europa IV Management Limited, as final general partner of Mid Europa Fund IV LP and Mid Europa Fund IV A LP".

As it was stared, in line with the order of the Commission, the buyer claimed that the company or its liable market participants, the investment funds mentioned, do not have liable companies and they are not present in good and/or services turnover in any other way at relevant markets, either in Serbia or at the territory of the countries which signed Free trade agreement in SEE region (CEFTA) and at the territory of EU member states.

- Since there is no concern when it comes to any criteria for estimation of allowed concentration, it was concluded that implementation of this concentration does not result in significant limitation, deterioration or prevention of competition, first of all through creation or strengthening of dominant position – it was concluded in the announcement.
