Public call for privatization of the Agricultural corporation Belgrade (Poljoprivredna korporacija Beograd -PKB) is expected mid this year and the entire transaction could end in Q4 2015, the head of PKB, Dragisa Petrovic says.

PKB is a large company which operates at satisfactory level so numerous investors are interested in it, Petrovic outlined.

So far, Petrovic says, PKB was officially visited only by Chinese delegation and direct negotiations with investors have not happened so far.

The head of PKB said that now with liable companies, the company has 2.108 employees and PKB has 1.900.

Petrovic outlined that in 2104, the company generated significant profit increase of about 8% compared to previous year (in EUR).

He reminded that during previous years, PKB has been investing more than EUR 10 m in cow farm which is amongst the most modern in this part of Europe and the company also invested in supplying systems with the total capacity of 5.600 ha.

PKB currently cultivates 21.000 ha of land and half of it is used for cattle food production.

Last year, PKB certified for ISO standards, HACCP and Global gap.
