System Alliance Europe transported 3.7 million parcels in 2014

The European groupage freight distribution network System Alliance Europe achieved its goal to transport 3.7 million parcels in 2014.

A total of 3,730,581 parcels were shipped last year, up nearly seven percent from 2013. The weight of all the cargo transported in 2014 totaled 1.634 million tonnes. All these parcels were shipped via 1,740 traffic routes, System Alliance Europe said in a release.

- This record represents a really good beginning of the tenth year of our partnership. But this success of ours has not satisfied us. The plan for 2015 is to increase the number of parcels shipped by additional 5 percent - said Uwe Meyer, the managing director of System Alliance Europe.

System Alliance Europe is a cooperation of leading, medium-sized groupage freight forwarders. It is comprised of 59 partners operating in 32 countries of Europe.
