All customs offices are connected to NCTS, and now a total of 30 freight-forwarding companies submit their transit declarations electronically, while another 70 got the green light to start electronic communication with the Customs Administration, so it is only a matter of time when they all will be connected to the new system.
- Successful implementation of NCTS is expected to increase the competitiveness of Corridor X among other corridors in the region and, thus, increase the profit from transit as a very important industry - the release reads.
It is also said in the release that during the four-month pilot phase of the project, the Customs Administration offered every kind of support to the economy sector in the use of NCTS through education for freight-forwarders and transportation companies, free application for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as helpdesk service for all questions about the use of new system.
