The minister of agriculture, Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic, said yesterday that as for now, there is no significant milk export from EU or disturbances at Serbian market but that there have been intensive talks on implementation of measures fr protection of domestic milk industry.

She explained that they will work on taxation, i.e. customs fees, for milk from EU which would potentially come to Serbia at dumping prices.

As of January 1 this year, quotas for milk production in EU were cancelled and the minister outlined there is a fear from the fact it could endanger our producers. Therefore, she added, “increase” of protection clause in line with the Paragraph 32 of the Stabilization and joining agreement has been considered.
