Austrian Gerlinger wants to buy Mitros

Austrian Gerlinger holding is interested in acquisition of Mitros, the mayor of Sremska Mitrovica, Branislav Nedimovic, confirmed at the press conference on Wednesday, November 19, 2014.

As Nedimovic said for Radio Novi Sad, they had a few meetings with Austrian investors.

- They told us they want to hire 380 people, and to what extent they are sure they will buy Mitros is obvious when they asked to protect Mitros’ property where thefts are common– Nedimovic said for Radio Novi Sad and specified that Mitrovica-based public companies will be hired for space development of Mitros until the slaughter and can plant gets new owner.

The mayor of Sremska Mitrovica also said that, upon request of the Austrian investors, in December a meeting will be organized with big cattle breeders because the wish of the investor is to process a thousand of fattened cattle per day next year.
