Activity description
Aktivnosti iz delatnosti Rudarskog instituta se realizuju u okviru sledećih organizacionih celina:
1. Zavod za eksploataciju ležišta mineralnih sirovina
2. Zavod za pripremu mineralnih sirovina i projektovanje
3. Laboratorija za geomehaniku
4. Laboratorija za čvrsta goriva
5. Laboratorija za zaštitu sredine
U sklopu Rudarskog instituta se nalazi i namenska hala za poluindustrijska i industrijska ispitivanja kao i za proizvodnju specifičnih materijala.

Nakon tri godine od nesreće u kojoj je poginulo osam rudara, rudnik mrkog uglja Soko kod Sokobanje priprema se za obnavljanje podzemne eksploatacije uglja koja je tada prekinuta. Podsetimo, posle nešto manje od godinu dana od tragedije u aprilu 2022. godine, čiji je uzrok bila eksplozija metana i obrušavanje jame, u RMU Soko pokrenuta je površinska eksploatacija uglja na zamenskom kopu.
